I remember a few months ago my friend, Dana Pollard, was preparing all her outfits so she could go to the RT convention.
This is a post dedicated to an outfit that I wear. I call it "the outfit" I'm sure you have an outfit like this. I only wear it if and when I have ABSOLUTELY nothing else to wear. Check out this beauty!
YES! This polyester beauty, purchased for me by my 84 year old grandma, is resplendently purple. And oh, have I mentioned the stripes?
I have been so busy with camp, writing, VBS you name it...I can make it into an excuse for not doing laundry and thus...wearing this outfit. Check out the hem:
And even though I can sew, I'm not fixing this - because I'm hoping the embarassment of wearing "The" Outfit will make me do some laundry. I'll leave you with the best part - he buttons!

I'm like 99% sure I've seen you wear this beauty. Magnificent? You better believe it! Now I'm POSITIVE I'm cooler than you :)
LOL you two :)
With the buttons, you don't even have to bother accessorizing!
Oh, I have one of those "outfits" too. My mother bought it back in the early 90's. I was hoping to "lose" it during the moving to the new house. But how it found its way to the new house is still a mystery.
Luckily, I have never in my life had such an outfit. You have my sympathy Jill.:-)
Oh, Jill. You have GOT to let me borrow that. hehe
Your grandmother has better taste than mine. ;)
Every one of these comments made me laugh!!!
Thanks for sharing in the agony with me.
You don't really wear that in public do you? Seriously?
What size are you? I might have something in my closet I could donate now that I see what a worthy cause you are.
My mom is the same age as your grandmother. And she always bought me 'outfits' like this, and I had to always say i LOVED them. Of course, I never actually wore them *snicker*
Please tell me you don't really wear that.
I'm feeling faint just looking at the photos, Jill and having flashbacks at my mother's hideous taste in clothing. Are there smelling salts nearby? A fainting couch? *g*
Kristin - no. no really - I don't wear it. Not in public.
Jaci - the outfit is always available for loan, booksignings...whatever.
